Dev Blog: The Speakeasy and Wiglow the Missing Wizard

Here’s a quick update on the latest features being added to Journey to the Rift, ahead of the release coming later this year! Keep an eye out on Steam for the “Coming Soon” page, where you will be able to watch the trailer and add Journey to the Rift to your wishlist.

The latest features to make their way in the game are the Speakeasy encounter, and an encounter with Wiglow the Missing Wizard. In the Speakeasy, you will be able to talk to various patrons and learn about their stories, and how they came to be in this mysterious dungeon. What’s more, is that they will share with you some secrets; tricks for fighting and tricks for chatting with the many denizens of the dungeon!

As for our friend Wiglow, you might come across a journal of his in your travels. However, if you want to find the man himself, you’ll have to take a close look at that journal, and unlock the secrets within! If you succeed, you may find yourself being taken on an interdimensional journey, the results of which are wildly unpredictable to say the least!

Along with that, various bits of polish and improvements to the player experience are being added to the game. These should make your journeys across the Plains of Brune and below as seamless as possible.
