More Features on the way to Journey to the Rift!

Development continues on Journey to the Rift, and all being well, a release on Steam during the autumn seems likely, and a release on iOS and Android following soon after! In the meantime, keep an eye out for the Coming Soon page on Steam, which will include an exciting trailer, and the opportunity to follow development in the run-up to launch day!

The latest developments on Journey to the Rift include the introduction of the Background system, which brings awesome roguelite elements into the game, further enhancing replayability and giving you a unique way to customise your characters!

The Background system comes into play when your character (regrettably) fails on their journey, meeting some unfortunate end at the hands of a troll or a rogue mage. However, when one journey ends, another begins! Take control of a new character, and shape their backstory as they endeavour to succeed where your previous character failed. Might they be a mercenary? Or perhaps a streetwise criminal? Whatever Background they come from, this will shape their skills as you take another crack at completing your Journey, and open up the opportunity for new and unique encounters, dependent on your Background!

Stay tuned for more development updates, and sign up for the Project Linkativity newsletter here to be notified of all the latest updates! And remember, you can always submit your feedback on the Journey to the Rift demo, and there is still time for this feedback to make it into the final product! Until then, get excited for the best text-based, procedurally-generated, roguelite, dungeon crawler you ever did see!
